Travelling by yourself can be daunting, but it can also be highly rewarding. If you have a partner or friend to travel with, you collaborate, book tickets and head off together, comfortable in the knowledge you have company, two heads to nut out problems along the way and someone to share the experiences with. There is also the most important matter of  having someone to look after your belongings when you need to head to the loo! Some people opt to do an escorted group tour as this removes many layers of decision-making and worry. You have an itinerary mapped out for you, a ready-made set of people to have fun with and a tour leader to take care of everything. What if you want solo time but also want to share experiences with someone who is with you throughout? What if you want to have some input into things but don’t want to organise or manage them? What if you want independence but, at the same time, would appreciate help and guidance?
