Different to the traditional Tuscan itinerary, this trip will offer a unique chance to get to discover the little-known treasures of western and southern Tuscany and the Maremma area – The “Hidden” Tuscany. This area showcases Italian loveliness in a gentle way, without hoards of tourists, but with lots of personal connection.

We’ll explore the Etruscan coast, delving deep into its history and discovering its contemporary delights and great food/wine. This trip has a “stay put” element – we’ll have a beautiful base from which to explore the area with a private driver to take us out and about. And there’ll be time to just chill and relax and enjoy the environment, meet the locals and absorb all good things Italian.

We’ll start in Milan and finish with time in Trieste and Venice. Three nights in each, and ten in Maremma. This is a chance to really discover, at a gentle pace, the many delights and insights all these places offer. Come join me!

Based near Grosseto, we’ll go on gentle day trips to explore the Etruscan coast and local islands. We’ll enjoy nature and history and fabulous scenery. We’ll visit ancient ruins, hillside towns and spa towns. We’ll get a great look behind the scenes of this special area of Italy that flies under the radar but offers a multitude of things to do and see. And, of course, there’ll be plenty of great food and wine experiences!
